All Players must have a legal photo ID on themselves at all times! All teams and players must be prepared for ID checks. PLEASE BE LEGAL! We won’t accept any cheating 😀
Open divisions, Men’s Over 40’s, and Military divisions will be 2 day events (Saturday & Sunday only)
All E & D divisions will be 3 day events (Saturday – Monday)
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND – You can only play on (1) Team of the same gender and no player can play in an opposite gender division (i.e. If you’re playing Men’s D, you can’t play Men’s E or Open, etc. AND a man can’t play in a women’s division and a woman can’t play in a men’s division)
FYI – Divisional game times will conflict with other divisions and they will be at played at different parks throughout the Vegas area. It will be very hard to play on a gender specific “and” a COED team at the same time in this event.

All teams must pay any balance owed for hotel fee, entry fee, and/or AWS registration fee online by Nov 20th or at the team check-in during the Home Run Derby, Friday ev at Sunset Park between 5pm-10pm.
NO SMOKING in the dugout areas or on the field.
NO ALCOHOL allowed inside any of the park complexes.
NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS
NO BOOM BOXES and no playing of loud or vulgar music. If an on-site director asks you to turn music down or off, please comply.
PLEASE DON’T GET CAUGHT SELLING OR STEALING ANYTHING AT THIS EVENT. RESULTS WILL BE TERMINATION OF YOUR ENTIRE TEAM.
Men’s – Women’s – COED
We will be using the current year’s USSSA roster to determine what a player is ranked for this event unless a team got bumped sometime during this year . In that case, we will be using the original team rankings for this year. For example… If a player is currently on a “C” roster, they will be “C” for our event unless they started the year in “D” and were bumped. Also, if there is a player NOT on a usssa roster this year, we will revert to the previous year/year’s rankings. (AWS Player/Team Rankings Trump These Guidelines)
If we find out you are only an ASA, NSA, etc. team and you sandbag into a lower division, we may decide to remove you from our event at any time. PLEASE PLAY IN THE DIVISION EQUAL TO YOUR RANKING IN THE ASSOCIATION YOU PLAY IN REGULARLY. (i.e. If you’re a “D” team in ASA, you should be playing “D” in this event)
Teams and players may petition for reclass at anytime before November 1st (must be done by email (email@example.com)

Mens D = 3 “C” players max (No “B” or higher ranked USSSA rostered players from a men’s team allowed)
Mens E = 3 “D” players max (No “C” or higher ranked USSSA rostered players from a men’s team allowed)
Womens D = 3 “C” players max (no “B” or higher ranked USSSA rostered players from women’s team allowed)
COED D = 3 “C” players max (NOT per Gender but for the whole team (No “B” or higher ranked USSSA rostered players from a COED team allowed)
COED E = 3 “D” men’s players max / can have unlimited Women’s “D” players (No “C” or higher ranked USSSA rostered players from a COED teams allowed)
* COED * Extra Rule = *If Male or Female are not showing on COED roster with USSSA – We will go off their Men’s or Women’s Roster etc.
40’s+ = 3 major-plus players max
Open Divisions = No player restrictions
ROSTER PROTESTS WILL BE $100 CASH AND MUST BE REQUESTED BEFORE THE END OF THE GAME
These are the 3 types of protests that we allow in our LAS VEGAS WORLDS:
- Checking (1) player that you know is ranked higher than the allowable player matrix
- Checking (4) chip players that you know are above the allowable limit of chip players
- Full roster check to see if all players are listed on the roster that was turned in before the first game

BASIC TOURNAMENT PLAYING RULES
Home team and umpire are responsible for keeping score
Teams can bat up to 12 players
COED teams can play more women than men – up to 10. Women will hit the small ball.
*** THERE IS NO TEAM JUMPING ***
Men can play on (1) Men’s team (Open, D, or E), (1) COED team (Open, D, or E), and may also play on a 40’s+ or Military team
Women can only play on (1) Women’s team and (1) COED team (Open, D, or E)
Illegal players will be ejected from the tournament, game will be forfeited, and the team in question may also be kicked out of entire tournament!
Game Lengths and Times
60 minutes (Championship game is extended to 70 minutes)
All listed game times are approximate start times – be prepared to start up to 15 minutes early. If other team and umpires are ready, there could be a loss of game if your team isn’t ready to go.
Run / Mercy Rule
15 runs after 4 innings / 10 runs after 5 innings… FLIP-FLOP RULE IS IN EFFECT!
In all but one scenario, there will be a coin flip to determine home team throughout the tournament including the “ONE GAME FOR ALL THE MARBLES” Championship games. These games are played when both the RED and BLUE brackets of a large division come together for a “winner take all” type championship. The only scenario where there won’t be a coin flip is when there is a team going into the final game of an individual bracket with no losses and the other team has one or more losses. In that case alone, the undefeated team gets choice of home or visitor.
Not mandatory but suggested
The official ball of the Las Vegas Worlds is the DUDLEY THUNDER SX 44 CORE / 375 COMPRESSION ball. This will be used for all divisions except the 40 & Overs which will use the DUDLEY ADVANCE 44 CORE / 375 COMPRESSION ball.
We will supply (4) balls per team upon team check-in. For all additional balls, you may either bring your own balls (if they are are an exact match of the official ball) or purchase extras from us at the fields for $5 each or 5 for $20 ($5 for 40 & over balls).
Please remember to write your team name on ALL of your balls so you and the other team can differentiate whose balls are whose throughout the game. Any team caught keeping the other team’s balls and not giving them back can be forced to forfeit the game. Please be kind and help each other out on foul balls hit on your side of the field.
Teams must throw in a ball when your team is up to bat. If you stall getting balls in, your batter may be called out (per the umpire’s & TD’s discretion.)
Bats must have new USSSA thumbprint stamp (No senior, baseball, or fastpitch bats allowed – 40 & Over teams can use senior bats).
PITCHERS MUST USE A PROTECTIVE MASK
Strike zone will be used (a mat is used for 40’s and overs)
Pitching height will be 4-10 ft from the ground (6-12 for 40’s and overs)
Pumping is OK (no pumping in the 40’s and overs)
Pitchers have 5 seconds to release after presenting
Pitchers may pitch from up to 6 feet behind the rubber but must come set before release
There will be a 1-1 count with no extra fouls
Men’s divisions – take one base.
Women’s divisions – take one base.
COED divisions – Men take two bases; Women take one base.
***When walking a male, women have option to walk or stay and hit every time (no stealing).
MENS and WOMENS TEAMS – There is (1) courtesy runner per inning and it can be anyone on the team roster.
COED TEAMS – women must run for women and men for men and it’s (1) total courtesy runner per inning… NOT PER GENDER.
40 & OVER TEAMS – 2 per inning and can be anyone on the roster
All Teams must have at least 8 team rostered players to start or be forced to forfeit the game.
To add a player to the lineup, they must arrive before their turn in the lineup and be on the team roster. If you have to play shorthanded, no automatic out will be given.
Homeruns per team per game
- COED divisions – Totals below are per game not per gender
- We do not use DHH Rule
- Any additional HR’s hit after the limit is reached are ONLY OUTS
Men’s & COED “E” – 2 HR’s
Men’s, Women’s, & COED “D” – 4 HR’s
Men’s, Women’s, & COED Open – 8 HR’s
Men’s 40’s – 10 HR’s
Military A – 10 HR’s
Military B – 8 HR’s
Military Women’s – 4 HR’s
All players, other than the on-deck hitter, must stay in the dugout or out of the play area. There is only (1) on-deck hitter allowed out of the dugout at a time.

- NO F BOMBS
- NO THROWING THE BAT
- NO TAUNTING
If disputes or problems arise, ONLY MANAGERS can talk to the umpires or the director.
If a manager is unsure of a ruling from an umpire, please find the on-site TD immediately!
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE GAME ENDS!
Most of the parks do not allow dogs but some parks may allow dogs on a leash. If unsure, please get confirmation from the park’s website before bringing your pet out.
No scooters, bikes, or skateboards at any parks
No glass containers
No sunflower seeds

No teams are guaranteed a spot into this year’s Las Vegas Worlds until we receive a $200 non-refundable deposit or full entry fee.
We do sell out! 1st to pay = 1st to play!
$200 is a non-refundable amount for us to guarantee a spot for your team. The balance owed for your entry fee can be paid online before November 15th or paid in cash at the fields, Friday evening, at the Home Run Derby.
- If you pull out after we start working brackets or after we are sold out, you will not receive any refund amount and if you only paid a deposit, you will still owe the remaining balance (unless we find a replacement team).
- If you pay and pull out earlier than November 8th, you will get a refund minus our non-refundable deposit.
Once a game starts it is considered to be a game played.
Refund Policy (based on games played):
0 games played – 75% refund
1 Game Played – 50% refund
2 Games Played – 25% refund
3 Games Played – 0% Refund
- The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify game times, playing locations, or tournament structure due to: field conditions, time constraints, safety issues, team count, or inclement weather
MEN’S OVER 40 MAJOR SPECIFIC RULES
Senior Softball / USSSA player rankings will be used.
Teams and players may petition for re-class at anytime (must be done by email to firstname.lastname@example.org)
(3) SSUSA Major Plus players max allowed on a Major team roster *
* (Any Conference Players or Major/Major Watch List in USSSA program may not play below the Major Plus division without counting as a Major Plus player)
Facemasks for pitchers are mandatory
Height will be 6 to 12 feet from the ground with a mat
Pitchers may pitch up to 6ft behind rubber
1-1 count (no extra foul)
Senior bats or any other slowpitch softball bat is allowed (no baseball or fastpitch bats can be used)
The official Las Vegas Worlds Over 40 ball is the DUDLEY ADVANCE 44 CORE / 375 COMPRESSION ball. We will supply (4) balls to each team upon check-in. After you use these up, teams must supply their own DUDLEY ADVANCE 44 CORE / 375 COMPRESSION balls that they brought or purchase them out at the fields from us for $5 each.

MEN’S MILITARY SPECIFIC RULES
MILITARY VARSITY “A” TEAMS (10 HR’s)
OPEN MILITARY ROSTERS

Active Duty Soldiers
Reservists of all branches
DD214 holders with honorable or with honorable condition discharge can play.
*** NO DISHONORABLY DISCHARGED PLAYERS CAN PLAY ***
All players ranked at the Conference level or ranked at the A or B level must play in the A Division… NO EXCEPTIONS!
No teams will be allowed to play if they are only made up of government contractors. It takes away from military athletes.
MILITARY VARSITY “B” /Women’s TEAMS ( Men’s 8 HR’s /Women 4)
Must be from a Base team or a Battalion Level or Company Level team as long as all players are from that base, battalion, or company. No outside players from other bases. It has to be Base, Battalion, or Company level pure Varsity B players ranked C or lower.
1 Civilian non military player for Men’s / 4 Non Military for Women’s Division
1 Government Contractor
Defendants or Female service member
DD 214 holders with honorable or under honorable conditions can play
Retires as long as they are within a Base, Battalion, or Company level team meaning they have to live within the boundaries of that base. There are no out of state players allowed.
National Guardsmen Or Reservists
National Guard and Reservist can play with a B team as long as they are from that state or within the boundaries of a Base, Battalion, or Company… no exemptions
(It does not matter how far your team has come if you do not go by these rules your team will not be allowed to play)
